- A friend of mine is using an IBM pc clone with
- Microsoft Works 2.0. He recently acquired an HP LaserJet
- I with a serial port interface which uses font cartridges.
- He, however, found that Microsoft Works 2.0 does not
- have an entry for LaserJet I. His question is:
-
- is there a software available that allows him
- to choose font within Microsoft Works 2.0? That is if
- he wants Helvetica, he will pop the helvetica cartridge
- into the LaserJet I and select Helvetica font within
- Microsoft Works 2.0 and the output will be Heveltica.
-
- Any suggestions or advice will be deeply appreciated.
- It's been 8 years since I last used an IBM pc so I thought
- it would be much easier to ask for advice on the net.
- Please e-mail to my address below with your replies.

- By the way, he is also looking for 1-meg bit chips.
- He's got this mother board which has 9 socket columns to
- make 1 x 9 (1 meg parity memory) and it takes each one
- of the 1-meg bit chip individually. If anyone knows of
- a good source, please let me know. I am so spoiled by
- the SIMM chips that I am at a loss of telling him where
- to find additional memory.
-
- thanks in advance for your help.
