  17. We have two Amstrad PC`s, a 3286 and a 3386sx which have developed a curious 
  18. fault.  On booting they intermittantly come up with a "divide overflow" and then
  19. hang up.  This occurs after the config.sys has been read, but before the
  20. autoexec.bat has executed.  The machine can be rebooted using CRTL-ALT-DEL, but
  21. it takes several reboots before the machine runs normally.

  23. I have tried booting from floppy, empty config.sys and autoexec.bat files,
  24. removing expansion cards, but nothing seems to work.  Incidentally, both machines
  25. are about 18 months old (and I'm not responsible for buying them).
