- I just had an interesting experience with Insight. I had ordered a Diamond
- Speedstar 24x, Teac 3.5" floppy, and a Western Digital 212 meg HD for the
- USDA. The price they quoted me was $189, $59, and $399 respectively. When
- we got the order, the invoice said the prices were $259, $69 and $399. So,
- I called them up and inquired about it. The salesman said that they charge
- the price stated on the purchase order when it comes in and basically gave me
- the impression that they weren't going to do anything about it. I then replied
- by asking why were we charged the extra amount then!?!?!! He asked me where
- I had seen the prices and I told him the page numbers in their winter catalog
- which came with the order. He quickly relented and said that when the USDA
- people called to confirm the order, they were quoted prices from their computer
- which I assume was the list price. Weird.
-
- Has anyone else had similar experiences with Insight?
-
- Just curious,
