- The 1542 is indeed faster and more widely supported, but!!!!! the 1542
- will _not_ work on ISA systems with more than 16MB of RAM (this was
- confirmed by Adaptec tech support). Because of the RAM limitation
- (which is due to the way bus-mastering works on the ISA bus), I
- had to buy the slower, less expensive 1522 since I plan on having
- more than 16MB soon. The new line of ATI Graphic Pro's also have
- the same problem -- and they require you to have TWELVE megabytes or
- less.
