- I would imagine that it should. We use our 1522 with a removeable optical
- disk system. With the appropriate software it should support a tape drive.

- One caveat on the 1522 vs. the 1542. The 1542 is better supported and
- faster. This is probably not a big problem for you unless you're planning
- on running some form of Unix, or maybe OS/2, or other operating system
- besides DOS.

- Otherwise, I think the 1522 works fairly well. I've never tried it with a
- harddisk, and our optical drives are not incredibly speedy to begin with.
