  17. I currently have an ancient herc card attached to my 386 and I thinkly heavily 
  18. about giving it the heave ho and going to vga. 
  19.  
  20. So  i) what exactly is a hi-sierra ramdac and what will it do me ?  If I buy 
  21.        a plain vga card now, can I upgrade later.
  22.  
  23.     ii) Are true-colour good vga card that much more expensive and are there 
  24.         any performance penalties involved in 24-bit colour ?
  25.    
  26.     iii) I haven't got all that much to spend so can I use a vga mono monitor
  27.          with any graphics cards to get grey scale output ( some kind of 
  28.          supplied TSR perhaps ? )
