- I have a very unique problem which I hope someone can help me with. My
- father owns a small business and asked me to ssetup and administer a small
- LAN (3 PC's so far). There are three different printer on the network.
- From a DOS environment I can print to any of the three printers using the
- network software. (The software in question is Novell Netware Lite, this
- software does not come highly recommended but that is another discussion.)
- The problem I have is with accounting software they use (Peachtree).
- I can use the nework to redirect a print-job from an imaginary LPT3 port
- to any of the network printers. However, when I try to install a printer
- in Peachtree on LPT3, IT CHECKS THE CONFIGURATION AND TELLS ME THAT THERE
- IS NO LPT3. We have already purchased a second I/O card for each machine
- to be able to use 2 printers. Does any body know if we can add a third
- LPT without duplicating IRQ's or wouldn't this matter since the network
- is just going to redirect the print-job.
-
- Any input on this matter is GREATLY appreciated (either a post or E-MAIL)
