  12. I had the same problem when setting up a 386/25 with AMI BIOS.  Everything was
  13. fine except the floppy drives were VERY slow like you said.  The solution
  14. was (aggrivatingly) simple -- turn on shadow RAM in your BIOS settings.  On
  15. this computer after I did this, the floppy drives were fast like they should
  16. be.
