- Hi All,
-
- I am facing the following problem and I hope that someone in the group
- can help me out. I have in my pocession a Complus 1200i internal modem (yes it is
- very old approx. 1987 and is AT compatible) that I want to connect with my 486 ISA
- machine. The questions are the following:
- 1. Will the modem be able to operate properly in my 486DX50 PC?
- 2. How do I go setting up the modem ports? The modem has settings for
- COM1 or COM2 (and seperate IRQ3-4 option). My com-card in the PC
- is currently set to COM1 & COM2. From the little card I was supplied
- I cannot tell if the com-card can be set to COM2 & COM3 so that I can use the
- modem in COM1. Should that be possible?
-
- Thanks in advance for your help,
-
- Kostis
