- That's not quite true -- they're upward compatible, but not downward
- (the 1542B supports scatter/gather I/O, the 1542A doesn't). As long
- as you just use the on-board BIOS the cards are interchangable, but
- if you plan to use an external driver (like for Unix or OS/2) be sure
- it supports the 1542A.
