- I just had a weird thing happen today. I was going through some old
- 3.5" disks that were 720 KB format and my drive couldn't read them. I then
- tried 1.44 MB formatted disked and they worked fine.
-
- As an experiment, I changed my CMOS settings to my Ami BIOS. I set up
- the 3.5" drive as a 720 KB type and rebooted the system. Now the drive
- reads 720 KB disks! (But it doesn't read 1.44 MB disks)
-
- Does anyone know what my problem is?? My CMOS was cleared about a
- week ago from a faulty battery, so it is possible something isn't set right.
- Or maybe one of the cables has a problem???
