- Zeos did very well in Graphics Winmarks, but it was extremely poor in
- everything else. This might be due to the built-in cpu upgradeability,
- (which is not worth much in my opinion.)
-
- However, looking at Zeos ad in the same PC Magazine, it seems to me that
- they have changed the video card on their 66 VLB system. They now have a
- Diamond Speedstar 24 VLB card. The card that was used during the test
- was a Zeos VGA 9000 VLB (with the fast Weitek 9000 chip.)
-
- In other words, if you are buying a Zeos system expecting the great
- graphics perfomance reported by PC Magazine, you'd better check up on
- this.

- [We had this discussion two or three months ago and I thought everyone
- pretty much decided the Gateway system, if you were willing to chance the
- service, was far superior to the Zeos system. Since then, the Gateway
- system has swept all the awards. But now, Zeos has lowered their price
- to $2995 from $3695, so it's probably worth a reevaluation. In my opinion
- though, Gateway is still better.]
