- I need help with an old Priam drive I have come into possession of.
- It is a Priam 'Inner Space' drive, Model # ID330-EC. I need to know:
- What sort of drive is this? It has connections like those used for
- RLL and MFM drives, but I've had no success with either type of controller.
- Partially because of :
- How many heads/cylinders does this thing have? The defect map attached to
- the drive has cylinders up to 1197 and heads up to 13. Yet there is a
- hand-written note that mentions 16 heads and 808 cyl.
-
- What are the dip switches and jumpers? It has 1 bank of dip switches on the
- bottom labeled 'DSEL1', 'DSEL2', 'DSEL3', SCNT1, SCNT0, 'SPN OP', ASK
- in that order from switch 1 to 7. Switch 8 is unlabled.
-
- On the upper side of the same board, there is a bank of jumpers(3 positions)
- which is unlabeled.
-
- Any help is appreciated, Thank you.
-
- (Note: if replies could be sent by e-mail, it would speed things up, and
- I'll post a summary in a day or so)
-
- Also, if anyone knows who might be doing tech support for old Priam drives,
- I would like to know that also.
