- I imagine that they are *at least* making as sure as they can that the ATI
- driver isn't going to screw up GW machines. The impression I got from the GW
- tech is that they actually hacked build 50 to get it past their (GW's) QA. I
- don't know whether this is true or not. Anyway, my experience with beta
- releases is that, yes, a build 50 that's passed two vendors' QA is liable to
- be more stable (in the sense of not having any horrible bugs) than a build 53
- beta, which I'd expect to have both things that don't work right and maybe
- some horrible bugs.

- BTW, the Gateway tech had never heard of anyone not being able to go into
- 800x600 mode from the MACH32 Windows tool, but I did it for him... If he
- comes up with a solution, I'll post.
