  13. I imagine that they are *at least* making as sure as they can that the ATI
  14. driver isn't going to screw up GW machines.  The impression I got from the GW
  15. tech is that they actually hacked build 50 to get it past their (GW's) QA.  I
  16. don't know whether this is true or not.  Anyway, my experience with beta
  17. releases is that, yes, a build 50 that's passed two vendors' QA is liable to
  18. be more stable (in the sense of not having any horrible bugs) than a build 53
  19. beta, which I'd expect to have both things that don't work right and maybe
  20. some horrible bugs.

  22. BTW, the Gateway tech had never heard of anyone not being able to go into
  23. 800x600 mode from the MACH32 Windows tool, but I did it for him...  If he
  24. comes up with a solution, I'll post.
