  11. A friend is looking for a cheap new 486.  He'd found a deal from
  12. "Uncle Ralph's" in Berkeley--$1700 for 486/25, 170MB HD, 8MB RAM,
  13. mouse, windows, 1024x768 monitor.  But I then found an ad in PC
  14. Week from "Advanced Logic Research, Inc." (ALR for short), for a
  15. 486/25 80MB with 1024x768 monitor, for $1200!  This seems like a
  16. pretty exciting deal, but I told him I'd ask on the nets whether
  17. ALR is a shoddy company before he goes and orders it.  So: anyone
  18. have an ALR machine?  Is it good, or bad?  Would you buy another
  19. from ALR?
