- The CMS drives really use the floppy drive controller to do all the work, that
- is why it is so cheap (I know, I have one). I would say that it takes at least
- a minute to format a 1 meg floppy. The drive appears to write format marks
- onto the tape. Considering that the tape is 125 meg long, it really does not
- surprise me that it takes an hour. Actually, for me, it takes darn close to
- two hours. Perhaps you have the accelerator board?
