  10. Due to various reasons I sometimes find the need to low-level format
  11. hard disks. In the old days of MFM, ESDI, etc. that's no big deal but
  12. we all know that 'Thou shalt not low-level format an IDE drive'.

  14. However, I've also discovered that it is possible to format certain
  15. types of drives, either with standard software or special format programs
  16. available from the manufacturer. I'd like to compile a list of these
  17. drives and their formatability. Please email to me. I'll post a summary.
