- I ordered my Gateway 486-DX2-66 on Dec7. The shipping papers were dated
- Dec. 22, and it arrived Dec. 28. Promised delivery date was 3 to 4 weeks.
-
- The machine? Tower, 16 Megs (4 @ 4megs), 2Megs & RAMDAC on ATI board, CD-ROM.
- No monitor (got my own).
-
- The system started right up, but I had to reseat the floppy connectors on the
- motherboard (no big deal).
-
- It's been running like a charm for a week now. No glitches at all.
-
- Re documentation: Everything was included: extra manuals for the ATI upgrade,
- a manual for the CD-ROM, a 59-page manual for the Q/A Cool Tools Utilities,
- and a 94-page manual for the Central Point Utilities.
-
- The whole thing worked out just beautifully. My sympathies for those on the
- net whose experience is quite different.
