-
- I'd assume that some utilities which display system configuration might tell
- you this. On my machine (486SX/33 with AMI bios), I get a message at boot-up
- which says "128 KB Cache found" or something like that. I think that would
- indicate that it's working. I don't know about your system, though.

-
- If you pulled the cache, I assume that it must be present and isn't vaporware.
- So if it is in fact not recognized, there are hardware problems.
-
- >I have heard some rumblings from ZEOS tech support folks that this

-
- What were the rumblings and where did you hear them? If ZEOS tech support
- knowingly sold you cache which wouldn't work, they're being sleazy. In some
- apps, it's hard to notice the difference that cache provides.
-
- >PS: There is no configuration for the cache in the BIOS setup, nor

-
- Really? What BIOS are you using? Does the BIOS even have a setting for the
- *internal* cache (which a DX2/66, like all Intel 486s, has 8K of)? Is this
- machine using Fred's Fly By Night BIOS (tm)?
