- Is it silicon or silica? I know there are places where they grow large
- high purity silica (aka quartz) crystals for some kind of electronic
- use. I suspect its metallic silicon that goes into chips - the quartz
- is probably for piezoelectric devices.

- What color are these wafers? (i.e. on the non-gold plated side).
