- I bought a NEC 4FG in November of last year and I had to bring it back
- because the picture was tilted downward on the left side of the screen and
- the upper corners were unfocused. The monitor was taken to a NEC service
- center for adjustment and when I picked it up, the picture was tilted to the
- right and was still blurry in the upper corners. The "technician" told me
- that he didn't have the equipment to set up the monitor properly so I took
- it back to where I puchased it. A new monitor was sent down from NEC and I
- when I tried it, it has the exact same problems as the first plus an upwards
- bowing at the bottom of the screen. The store where I bought the monitor
- called NEC again and were told to take the new monitor to the same service
- center, and that NEC would fax the necessary information to the service
- center to enable them to set up the monitor properly. Somehow I don't think
- that this is going to work. Has anybody experienced similar problems? Does
- NEC have sort of quality control problems? I still don't have my monitor
- back and have to use a standard VGA monitor which the store loaned me. This
- is not the kind of quality I expected from a monitor for which I paid
- approximately $1000.
