  18. Not only is this the wrong group - the letter is either a hoax or just
  19. written by somebody who does not know what he is talking about.

  21. I have said it before, and I will say it again:

  23. There is a Proto-T virus, but it is quite different from the description
  24. given in the original posting (no "hiding in modem-buffers etc").

  26. This is a simple virus, related to the Civil War II virus, and detected
  27. as such by some anti-virus programs (such as my own F-PROT, which can even
  28. disinfect it).

  30. The virus which was found in some haved version of PkZip is totally unrelated
  31. to this one.

  33. Please don't post the original letter more - regardless of whether it is
  34. deliberate disinformation or just indicates the author's lack of knowledge,
  35. it is absolutely useless, and only helps generating unnecessary fear.
