  20. I have a Scanman 256/Logitech.  If you want to do OCR, don't bother with
  21. a handheld, because it is way too time consuming.  Imaging is what handhelds
  22. do best and then mostly I've found that I use it for desktop publishing.
  23. I don't try to do funky wild things like scan in gifs.

  25. Really, you need to assess just /what/ you want the thing for and then 
  26. purchase accordingly.
