- Yeah. This is one of those hacks Amiga users need to make their
- machines tolerable. You don't need it on a PC. Whether or not you
- get flicker on a PC has to do with your monitor and the video card,
- and is more of an issue at Super VGA resolutions. Two things can
- cause flicker:

- A low vertical scan rate, < 70 Hz. Fix: change mode on monitor and
- card, or get a better monitor/card.

- Interlace: Usually at 1024x768. Up to a year ago most 14" monitors
- operated with interlace at this resolution. These days most don't.
- Fix: drop down to 800x600 or get a new monitor. (btw.. 1024x768 in-
- terlaced isn't always intolerable. Its actually quite nice on moni-
- tors designed for it, eg. IBM's 8515 with long persistence phosphors).
