- I have a Core-tape-light QIC-80 tape backup unit with what might
- be a similar problem. I runit on a 486DX 33Mhz EISA motherboard
- and can only use the tape at the 8 Mhz clock and not the normal
- 33 Mhz clock rate where it always produces errors and aborts.
- Core told me long ago that they were aware of the problem but I
- never got a fix from there tech support!

- I wonder if maybe this is a generic hardware speed problem with
- QIC drives and that your problem is related to mine.

- let me run the Core tape drive at the rated 33 Mhz of my system.
