- The Ordos end-game was a little better than the Atreides one, being a
- little more Machiavellian, true to character. But playing Ordos was pure
- shit, contrary to my earlier post. The Diviator could only turn him into
- an Ordos for a few seconds, and then he would whack me again. And the
- Deviator had no destructive firepower! I had to use Siege tanks all the
- way, since my starport became unreliable as a source of missile
- launchers.
-
- The Harkonen was fun, but not as powerful as the Atreides Sonic Tank
- technique. The Mentat is a really fierce fellow and very amusing.
- The end game is the most impressive of all when the Trooper zapped the
- Bene Gesserit and the Emperor. Wow!
-
- by the way, one interesting feature in dune 2. When you are at the
- mentat screen or when the Mentat is congratulating you, move your mouse
- pointer around the eyes, and the eyes will follow the pointer. Not only
- that, the facial expressions will change also, depending on how
- difficult it is for the mentat to follow the pointer. It can blink too!
- This is what I call attention to detail. Also, I will most probably get
- the next WestWood game without much investigation - it's bound to be
- good after a masterpiece like Dune 2.
