  26. The owner's manual for the Thrustmaster RCS (rudder pedals) addresses
  27. this problem in a note about using both the RCS and FCS with FS4:

  30. "  This is because Microsoft Flight Simulator 4 (FS4) uses the same axis
  31. for a second joystick that the Thrustmaster FCS uses for the hat switch.
  32. In order to use this, you must remove the bottom from the FCS and clip
  33. the BLACK/WHITE striped wire and connect it to an on/off toggle switch
  34. which must be toggled off when you use FS4.  Then you can use the
  35. Thrustmaster FCS, RCS, and even the Thrustmaster WCS by selecting Option
  36. C when starting FS4."

  38. Although this specifically mentions FS4, any game/sim with similar
  39. joystick 2 uses that conflict with the FCS hat would benefit from this
  40. mod.  Now why Thrustmaster doesn't build the FCS with a 'hat disable'
  41. switch is another question.

  43. I expect to implement this mod as soon as I receive the FCS Pro that
  44. I've got on order.
