  15. I just killed the Beholder and solved EOB I and must say I'm more than
  16. a little disappointed. I didn't use the wand of Silvias, nor cast any
  17. spells (well, I did get him with one fireball, but that was it) and 
  18. killed him simply by sidestepping, slashing, sidestepping, etc.
  19. One of my characters DID get killed by the fireball trap and I did 
  20. initially back out of the room so I could go back in without being
  21. face to face with the Beholder (since it moves around).
  22. I won't even mention the ending.

  24. After the other levels, I just expected something a little tougher,
  25. or at least faster.
  26. FWIW, my characters are all level 9 and I had just gone to level 12
  27. to see what was there, so I'll probably go back and finish the special
  28. quests I missed later on.

  30. I had asked earlier how a person was to know that special quests existed,
  31. since the manual didn't say anything about them, and the game gives you
  32. no hint that they exist (only a tone, exp and goodies if you complete it)
  33. and since found out (via America OnLine) that a paper included with the
  34. game gives a hint to this.  I assume this is an order form for the hintbook
  35. since my copy does not include this paper, but does include the hintbook.

  37. I just hope EOB2 is better.
