- : Hey fellow gamers! Welcome back from your holidays. Hope the season
- : brought you plenty of new toys! I also hope that many of you have
-
- ..and a Happy New Year to thee too!
-
- : checked out Game Bytes #8, our biggest issue yet. I'd really
- : appreciate some feedback on this issue. Is it too much? What would
- : you like to see changed?
- :
- The screen colour!!! My eyes protested very strongly after going through
- it, given that 'tis the best issue so far in my homest opinion! :):)
-
- I think the bright blue is not really ergonomic, even though I have the
- ergo-vision anti-rad,-static, and -glare filter! How about a black
- background like DOS? or a paper white one like Windows?
-
- Particularly, I'd like to hear feedback from the Underworld
- crowd : about what they thought of our interview with Looking Glass
- : Technologies regarding Underworld 2, etc. Was the interview too long?
- : I needed to break it into two pieces so as to be manageable in the
- : viewer. Did it ask enough of the right questions? Not enough.
- : Please let me know. I would like to get better at doing this.
-
- 'twas great! I don't think there is a "right" way of asking questions or
- "right" or "wrong" questions. It depends on who it is. Good interviews
- art often free-flowing, and I think this was quite evident in GB#8.
- Also, the interviewees did most of the talking and were obviously
- relaxed and not guarded about what they say.
-
- I did think that dividing it into 2 parts was not enough. They were
- pretty long parts! Having a long interview is ok, but given the bright
- blue background, it became very hard on the eyes, since there was no way to
- put a bookmark or anything to come back to a place where you've stopped.
- Since there were sub headings within the parts, mayhaps thou couldst have
- broken them along those sections.
-
- : : Thanks. Honest
- criticism welcome, flames ignored. : : Thanks for reading Game Bytes.
-
- Honesty is a virtue of Avatarhood :-)
