- old reliable 'Mk One Eyeball', watching outside for hazards or opportunities."
- Then it further states, "Unless a bogey gets within ten miles, the pilot
- doesn't usually mess with the radar." TEN MILES? That's kinda hard. How
- exactly do you 'Mk One Eyeball'? When you mean 'ping' does that mean that
- as soon as my AWACS finds a snap or bogey, do I turn on my radar, conduct
- a sweep, take a shot and see how fast the plane is going? Then do I perform
- a calculation in my head as to how long I have before the plane reaches my
- ten mile vicinity? How do you exactly do this?
