- Yes! get some distance - once you have the BIG gun, your shots are quite
- effective at long range, while you always are hurt less at long range
- (maybe not in the case of the last bad guy in _Spear_of_Destiny_, though)
-
- Also, check around, there are almost always large stores of ammo and health
- accessible near the big baddies. Sometimes, like in the first game, you
- can stock up before *and* during the battle. In _Spear_ this seems
- to be essential in a couple of places.
-
- And don't bother trying to get behind any of the big enemies. If you
- use the cheat to view the sprites, you'll see they don't _have_ a back
- for you to shoot.
-
- I keep one hand on my three button mouse (fire, strafe, open) and one on
- the run (shift) and forward (up arrow) keys. I mostly use the mouse for
- left and right, and move my finger between the up and down cursor keys,
- pressing shift to speed up whenever I can.
-
- Anyone beat the UberMutant in _Spear_ in "Death Incarnate" mode yet
- without a cheat? That's a *really* tough one for me. I haven't found
- a pattern yet that does it at that difficulty level.
