- : I was wondering if anyone had any documentation (English prefered, but
- : French acceptable) for the Sting Writer library (in the upload directory
- : at seq.uncwil.edu). I have found it to be VERY useful while playing with
- : it today, and was hoping someone had more about the keyboard use while
- : editing, and what the commands EED and VZ do, and how the \->FNT command
- : works.
- Saw this the other day:
- I Just downloaded StringWriter.lib and it works good.
- The file has been changed ( the first copy was corrupted )
-
- It is a very good tool ( As good as QED )
-
- Here is a short documentation :
-
- * EDIT : takes an object from level one and edit it
- pressing enter puts that object on the stack after beeing parsed
- When editing, the cursor moves too fast, press - to slow it
- Pressing + fasten the cursor movments
- To get the + or - char you must be in alpha mode
- There is a menu bar with :
- ASCII : for entering a specific char , enter the ASCII code
- GOTO : to jump to a specified line
- ->BEG : jump to the beginnig of a selection
- ->END :jump to the end of a selection
- DEL L : deletes the current line
- INFO : informations about the text ...
- You must keep the key pressed.
- BEGIN : maks the beginning of the selection
- END : marks the end of the selection
- CUT : cuts the selection
- COPY : copy the selection to the clip
- PASTE : insert the clip content before the cursor
- DEL : deletes the selected text
- FIND : find a pattern starting from the cursor position
- REPL : find and replace
- NEXT : jump to the next occurence of the pattern
- R : repplace the pattern
- R/N : replace the pattern and jump to the next occurence
- R/ALL : replace all the folowing occurences
-
- Pressing ENTER saves the changes to the stack
- pressing ON quits with no changes ( you are queried )
-
- * VISIT : Works like the Shift-Blue VISIT key
- * EDD : takes an objects from level one and the edit the object
- named ->S which is either in port 0,1 ro 2
- I don't know the purpose of this command
- * VZ : is to EDD what VISIT is to EDIT
- * NEW : start and editing session with a null string
- ->FNT : to change the font , it takes a GROB from level one
- I dont't know which format it should be
- *Info : the about function ( I never saw something like that )
-
- Download the lib and try it, it's worth the 16908 bytes it takes.
-
- Hope this helps.
