  13.       I bought the hp48 calc last semester during the "BACK TO SCHOOL"
  14. sale. I sent in the coupon and got a serial cable and some software.
  15. The trouble is that I don't know the first thing about the Kermit program
  16. or how to install it, and also I have no idea how to set baud settings
  17. and what a file transfer protocal is. Can somebody please describe to me
  18. in non-technical terms how to download software from an IBM PC to my hp48
  19. using the Kermit program. I've looked at the readme files but they didn't 
  20. help much. Also, I don't understand the distinction between the various
  21. types of programs that I received (.SRC etc.) although I think I know what
  22. a .GROB file means. I really hope somebody out there can help me out as 
  23. someone gave me a couple of disks full of hp48 software for Christmas which
  24. he downloaded from the hp BBS. The on;y trouble is he's in Germany right now.
  25. Some of these programs are really neat. So, somebody.... HELP!!!
