- Why I don't believe in Rev. J.....
-
- 80186, 80286, 80386, 80486...
-
- A, B, C, D, E, J??????
-
- Anyway, three of my friends just bought HP 48 SX's from a place that
- does a brisk business, Calc. Inc. The place is usually out of
- calculators and is continuely getting new shipments in. Not one of
- these three calculators is a rev. J, which isn't all to surprinsing.

- The exam mode part of this joke was good...

- The equation writer being rewritten is plausable. However, I bet that
- even Hewlett Packard employees do not use the equation writer. It is
- a sales gimick that is otherwise useless. Even if the equation writer
- were rewritten, I can't see HP releasing a new version considering
- all of the (foolish) demands for an upgrade that would inevitably
- follow. Why make your cusotmers drool over a useless feature.
-
- I would guess that speeding up the CPU and/or speeding up the
- algorithms that calculate integrals would be a wiser choice. On
- difficult integrals, I use maple and not the HP 48.
-
- Also, improving the sybolic capabilities would be a desired
- improvment.
