- I have been receiving mail from people wanting to know
- how I got QED1.09 to work. So here how it was done.
-
- I downloaded the file QED109.lzh to a PC (msdos) using
- type binary transfere mode. ( it must be done in binary mode)
-
- Then I unpacked it using lharc.exe
-
- The path at seq.uncwil.edu for QED109.lzh is
-
- hp48/Uploads/QED109.lzh
-
- You can also get lharc.exe from seq.uncwil.edu
- The path is
-
- hp48/archive_utils/dos/lharc.exe
-
- You need to use binary mode to download lharc.exe also.
-
- When you get QED109.lzh and lharc.exe on the PC
- then enter the following command
-
- lharc x QED109.lzh
-
- That should unpack all the files in QED109.lzh
- The QED directory will be in binary format and ready
- to transfer to your HP48.
-
- There will be a small readme file
- a much larger document file
- the QED.DIR file (for the HP48)
- and three font files that can be used to create custom fonts.
- (I just use the fonts that Lutz includes in the directory)
-
- I hope this will be of some help
-
- This is a great editor. I do all of my programming directly
- on my HP48, and now that I have started using QED I don't
- think I could ever go back to just using the builtin editor.
- Also, I am able to get a lot more programming done in the
- same amount of time ( a few times over ).
