- THE EXAM MODE IDEA WAS A J-O-K-E! Really! It's NOT in version J, nor any
- other versions!

- Do you really think that anyone would still _bother_ to bring their HP-48
- to an exam if it was going to be turned into something less capable than a
- HP-32S II?

- HP-48's, a professor's really going to go around and put all the HP-48's

- Well, I guess the only solution is to have RF ACTIVATED EXAM MODE -- a
- teacher, with a special tranmitter sold to him or her by HP upon proving
- that he or she really is a GENUINE PROFESSOR, presses a magic button that
- causes the HP-48 system software, which reads a RF RECEIVER every 244.1us, to
- turn on EXAM MODE until the button is released.
