- NiCad batteries have a different discharge curve than
- do Alkalines. Instead of minutes, hours, days or
- even weeks of warning when the low battery indicator
- comes on, you may have seconds or milli-seconds of
- warning. Thus, using NiCads is fine as long as you
- back up your data and keep them charged.
