  15. i don't think hp-ux 6.5 had name server capability at all.  i think 
  16. name server capability was introduced in hp-ux 7.0.  this would mean your 
  17. only hope for name service would be installing a newer version of hp-ux.

  22. but i don't think it matters on 6.5.

  24. to check for sure, run this command:
  25.     strings /usr/bin/telnet | grep resolv
  26. if a line pops out with "/etc/resolv.conf" on it, then you have a
  27. name server-capable version of telnet.  otherwise, i'm afraid you're
  28. out of luck.
