  22. I once managed to do something similar. I had to change one user's
  23. UID, and I made a slight type with my chown. Well, the sort of it is
  24. that I donated all the files owned by 'bin' to this guy. Unfortunately
  25. /bin/login and assorted are owned by bin...

  28. I got that bit about audswitch.

  33. The short way to fix it is to check the permissions of chfn and fix
  34. them if they are awry.
