  13.     we recently added about 50 hp 715 workstations (running hpux 9.0) to
  14.     our network of suns (running 4.1.2...in some cases running 4.1.3).

  16.     my problem is x-ing from the HPs to the Suns...using the command:
  17.     <xtool> -display sunnode:0.0

  19.     it takes an incredible amount of time (say 10 to 15 minutes) to get the
  20.     display up on a sun station.

  22.     does this sound familiar?  is there something i'm doing wrong???

  28. You need to either get a patch from Sun or use the workaround as follows..

  30. How come my HP X/Motif clients take a LONG time to display on a Sun?

  32. The problem is with the OW3 server.  You can request OW3 patch 100444
  33. (or whatever is the current replacement) from Sun to fix the problem.
  34. Supposedly this has been rolled into OW 3.0.1. A workaround is to
  35. set the X resource *useColorObj: False.
