  14. Another correspondent also mentioned the Hayes Mode vs. the DF03 Mode.

  16. These modems are evidently in DF03 mode, because they say 'Ready' and
  17. not 'OK'.  My other correspondent thought 'ENA AT' was the command to
  18. put them in Hayes Mode, but that can't be right, because 'ENA' just
  19. gives the Phone Numbers stored in Registers 'E', 'N', and 'A'.

  21. I found that ^G causes them to go Off Hook and report 'Attached', but
  22. they are just pulling dial tome and are not actually dialing or 
  23. connecting to anything.

  25. So I'm still baffled and waiting for further advice and suggestions.
