  12.         Last night the ribbon power cable that goes from the
  13.     power supply to the motherboard on my Rainbow 100B started to
  14.     melt (wire 6 from the right on the power supply end).  I have
  15.     a replacement cable from a 100A and will attach it as soon as
  16.     I can "air dust" the unit.
  17.     
  18.     Questions:
  19.     
  20.         1)  Are there any particular reasons for wire 6 frying?
  21.     
  22.         2)  Any way(s) to prevent a recurrence?
  23.     
  24.         3)  Any reason I shouldn't use the 100A cable (it looks
  25.     OK)?
  26.     
  27.         4)  One solution that comes to mind is to get a monitor
  28.     that doesn't draw on the Rainbow power supply.  I have a
  29.     Rainbow RGB cable.  Would anyone know of reasonable
  30.     (new/used) monitor brands (in addition to the DEC VR-241)
  31.     that function with a Rainbow?
