  12. I have a DECMATE I (PDP-8) and an RX02 Pedestal.  I currently use the
  13. DECMATE as a VT52, but I was wondering if this machine could actually be
  14. used for telecomm or anything else apart from word processing.  The word
  15. processing program that came with it was very nice, but just about
  16. --EVERY-- keypress caused disk I/O to occur, which lead me to wonder if the
  17. DECMATE I had any addressable RAM for data, apart from the program space.
  18. Are there any utilities or programming languages made for this thing, or do
  19. I essentially have a dataterminal?  I realize that 4K to 8K was probably
  20. considered an expansive amount of memory back in the days when this thing
  21. was made, but I am wondering if it can do anything else?  (Games written
  22. with a PDP-8 assembler, perhaps?  LIFE ?  LEM ?  SPACEWAR! ?  PONG ?....)
  23. Is the RX02 Pedestal useful for anything?  (that is, assuming I could find
  24. some floppies for it....)  I'm curious....
