- SCU is being ported to EP/IX (the CDC variant of Unix).
- The port is written in C, so it should be possible to
- port it to other Unix platforms. The main obstacle seems
- to be that CDC refuses to do such ports or to provide the
- source code to customers. I don't quite get the rationale
- behind it; they won't be selling more CD4000 just because
- SCU is on it but they chase away potential SCU users from
- EP/IX if SCU is not an open systems product.
