  13. Check and see if the RAM chips are getting hot. Use thermal paper or
  14. your fingers, but be careful, sometimes they get really hot. I just fixed
  15. a C64 the other day that had the black screen on power up.  The power
  16. supply was the root cause of the problem. Always use a known good power
  17. supply when hardware diagnosing problems.
