- Check and see if the RAM chips are getting hot. Use thermal paper or
- your fingers, but be careful, sometimes they get really hot. I just fixed
- a C64 the other day that had the black screen on power up. The power
- supply was the root cause of the problem. Always use a known good power
- supply when hardware diagnosing problems.
