- No problem. There are about 1/2 a dozen TCP/IP "Printer Adapters" on
- the market that allow any printer to plug into parallel and serial
- ports on them. They also provide software for the host that acts just
- like "cat" except it sends the data across the network instead of out
- a port.

- I recently completed an investigation of these products and decided on
- the Microplex brand. They work extremely well on our LAN. We have
- 6386/33Es running SVR4, and 3B2s running SVR3. Our printers are HP III
- and IIISi's.

- BTW, I looked at those LAN DIRECT cards and discovered the same thing.
- The trick is the software.
