  12. I have a widely dispersed LAN with my servers running AT&T UNIX SYSV REL 4.0.
  13. I want the ability to locate my HP IIId printers anywhere on the LAN and 
  14. have the ability to print directly to it.  In the past I used parallel port
  15. extenders - they are very flaky and unreliable to maintain.  I was excited
  16. when I saw a product announcement from HP for a card called LAN DIRECT.  This
  17. card is supposed to fit into the HP IIId optional slot and plug directly into
  18. the LAN.  Unfortunately, this product did not work with UNIX.

  20. Does any "netter" know of any cards that fit into HP IIIds and work with UNIX
  21. maybe via TCP/IP or something like that ? I researched this to death and
  22. drew a blank when it came to UNIX SYSV R4.0, ethernet, and HP IIIds.
