  11. I'm having a bit of a problem getting SCSI to work on my 3B2/400.
  12.
  13. This is what I have so far:
  14.
  15.     - SCSI card in slot 1 set to SCSI device ID 0
  16.     - CDC Wren IV (?) 300 MB disk set to SCSI device ID 1
  17.     - The disk is in my XM with the ribbon cable connected to
  18.       the right-hand connector of the SCSI card.
  19.     - The disk has its own terminators
  20.     - The left-hand connector has a short cable with a
  21.       Centronics SCSI terminator.
  22.
  23. A picture is worth a thousand words:
  24.

  43. Ok, I installed all that, rebooted, the machine of course didn't
  44. recognize the card.  I installed the SCSI host utilities and the
  45. disk utilities.
  46.
  47. I rebooted and it found the SCSI card, but failed diagnostics.
  48. I ran 'dgmon' by hand, and it failed test 17, which is the
  49. RESET test.  It complained that it might be a cabling or
  50. termination problem.
  51.
  52. I checked my cabling, and it looks fine.
  53.
  54. Any ideas?
