- I'm having a bit of a problem getting SCSI to work on my 3B2/400.
-
- This is what I have so far:
-
- - SCSI card in slot 1 set to SCSI device ID 0
- - CDC Wren IV (?) 300 MB disk set to SCSI device ID 1
- - The disk is in my XM with the ribbon cable connected to
- the right-hand connector of the SCSI card.
- - The disk has its own terminators
- - The left-hand connector has a short cable with a
- Centronics SCSI terminator.
-
- A picture is worth a thousand words:

- SCSI Terminator

- Ok, I installed all that, rebooted, the machine of course didn't
- recognize the card. I installed the SCSI host utilities and the
- disk utilities.
-
- I rebooted and it found the SCSI card, but failed diagnostics.
- I ran 'dgmon' by hand, and it failed test 17, which is the
- RESET test. It complained that it might be a cabling or
- termination problem.
-
- I checked my cabling, and it looks fine.
-
- Any ideas?
