- Well to add even more of my opinion to this...
-
- First and foremost, Atari has to get the Falcon out the door. If they don't
- manage this in the next few months, they will have soundly established an
- effectively permanent reputation as the vapourware kings...
-
- After hearing about the 3do I am excited about the possibilities of the DMA
- connected DSP. None of the other computers will have this for a few years
- yet and it doesn't sound like the 3do will come with a keyboard at first.
- Therefore, the Falcon may have an interesting edge...
-
- If they just get the $%$$% computer out, it is clearly an excellent deal
- as a sampler. This is independent of any of its other uses and could provide
- it with a niche to survive if it otherwise stinks...
-
- I am very intrigued by the 3do; there are now 3 choices for my next computer.
- Amiga, Falcon, or 3do. It's going to be a fun year and my pessimism has just
- abated because of the 3do... I finally have a choice beyond the orphans and
- the clones... So sorry PC people, I see no reason to buy one now... I'd
- rather bring the tools I want to a new exciting and advanced platform than
- rely on a dinosaur with a jet engine up its bum... I'd love to see one of
- those perform real-time texture mapping of incoming video data heh heh...
-
- Scott - thank god the 90's just hit the computer industry
