- Someone asks to be convinced to stay with Atari (and I know Chris, and
- I'm pretty sure that it was an honest request), and all you can do is
- say "Take off, we don't need you". That says two things to me:
-
- 1) There is nothing Atari's most rabid supporters can actually say in
- its favor.
-
- 2) Users such as this needn't blame the Tramiels for Atari's
- downfall--telling everyone who wants to be convinced to "take a hike"
- is pretty poor P.R.
-
- Sorry, I've got more than two things.
-
- 3) This is about third grade recess levels of maturity, so take your
- bat and ball and go home, and try to catch those left fielders
- yourself.
-
- I can perfectly understand Chris' situation--wanting someone to
- convince him to stick with a platform that he feels some loyalty
- toward, I'm feeling it myself these days--and I'm amazed at the
- helpful reactions he's gotten.
